Commonwealth Bank

The earlier trademark in the familiar yellow and black colours.

Founded in 1911, Australia’s largest bank has established a distinct presence through the use of a yellow and black colour scheme. In the development of the new identity it seemed prudent to retain the existing colour palette.

An iconic symbol comprised of the well-recognised colour scheme provides instant recognition and high visibility even from long distances. With over two thousand branch offices requiring signage, the company’s presence was undeniable.

Instant recognition rather than reading a sign was the obvious solution to locating a brand when needed.
