To facilitate the most suitable choice of the cameraman, each year a combined portfolio of all their works was widely distributed to their current and prospective clients. The presentation folder was inspired by the Japanese studio’s clients, who often have ideas about the outcome they require. However, this is often abstract and only an idea in the mind.

It’s the studio’s role to make it a reality. The perforated folder reflects the process of imagination. At first glance, the final photograph is an abstract image of shape and colour, only becoming complete once it is removed from the folder, in much the same way that an image ‘happens’ in the mind before it is photographically realised.
