The Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (est 1578) is a public, autonomous and decentralised Mexican higher education institution headquartered in Puebla, the state’s capital of the same name. The university constitutes a great pillar of higher education and scientific research in the region and occupies a prominent place among the country’s public universities.

At the invitation of Gabriela Rodríguez we collaborated to rejuvenate the brandmark depicting Minerva, the Phoenix, the fire emerging from the clouds, the shield as a support for the Phoenix Bird rising from the fire, and the traditional university ribbons.
